The titular Three Brass Elephants are important clues in a locked room mystery at the wonderfully named Bronson's Spite, an architectural monstrosity along the Hudson. A young man and his sidekick, detective Napolean Brown, find danger and daring in their attempts to reclaim the former's inheritance. A stylish, breezy read for the fan of a good mystery.
