Brown covers with gilt and black decoration on the front cover, blind decoration on the rear cover, gilt lettering and gilt and black decoration on the spine. Worn cover corners and spine-ends. Black end-papers, binding is sound with a slight skew. Light foxing to title-page and its protective tissue leaf, clean pages with light foxing associated with plates. Black and white frontis and also a vignette illustration on the title-page. Illustration listed at page 41 is the frontis. Previous owner's name in ink at the front.
