GB: Ward Lock & Co. Maroon cloth with blind stamped pattern to spine and front cover. Gold lettering to spine and front cover ( a bit faded on the spine but still readable). Book is not dated but gift inscription from S. Saviour's Sunday School to Jonathan Johnston, signed and dated by Ernest Deuce(?) Priest-in-Charge 1902. 594 pages, 6 pages of Ward Lock advertisements at rear. In very good, clean, tight condition BUT Small red squiggle on title page. Minor spotting/ browning to prelims and text edges are dust darkened. Corners and spine ends a bit rubbed and bumped.. Hardback. VG-/No DW.
Sinopsis
The Three Musketeers is a novel by Alexandre Dumas, père. It recounts the adventures of a young man named d'Artagnan after he leaves home to become a guard of the musketeers. D'Artagnan is not one of the musketeers of the title; those are his friends Athos, Porthos, and Aramis—inseparable friends who live by the motto "all for one, one for all" ("tous pour un, un pour tous"). The story of d'Artagnan is continued in Twenty Years After and The Vicomte de Bragelonne.
