Wear to the spine edges, otherwise internally clean. The 11th Armored Divsion of the U.S. Army was stationed initially in Normandy, France, and the onset of the Battle of the Bulge were force marched to the Meuse, and defended the higway to Bastogne against fierece assault. They wer e involvled in the Chenogne Massacre, which resulted in the execution of scores of German prisoners, retribution for the Malmedy Massacre of American prisoners. On 5 May 1945, elements of the US 11th Armored Division liberated the Mauthausen concentration camp. . First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No DJ. 8 1/2" x 11".
