Very Good, a quite well-bound book, and SCARCE in the 1900 First Edition. Carl Chun (1852-1914) was a German marine biologist, a specialist on cephalopods and plankton. Chun's expedition on the "Valdivia" in 1898-99 was the first large-scale German expedition to explore the deep sea.. First Edition. Quarter Cloth . Very Good/No Jacket, As Issued. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
