New York: Holt, Rinehart and Winston, 1968. First Edition. Hardcover. Near fine/near fine. Pène du Bois, William. First edition in book form and with Pène du Bois illustrations, duodecimo size, 32 pp. A charming story of a family and its tiger (who simply won't get out of the teapot), this children's story is generously illustrated by William Pène du Bois' (1916-1993). Pène du Bois was both a competent illustrator and author; he won the Newbery Medal for "The Twenty-One Balloons" in 1948, and, for books he illustrated, was the runner-up for the Caldecott Medal twice.

This volume is the first edition of the story in book form and containing Pène du Bois' illustrations.
