TIME Magazine Signed Cover Leaf by Stephen King "For Jim" and Matching Complete Periodical (October 6, 1986)

TiME & LIFE Building, Rockefeller Center, New York: TIME The Weekly News Magazine, 1986. Vibrantly colored cover leaf signed by Stephen King: "For Jim, All best, Stephen King." Attractive contemporaneous inscription and signature. Near fine. The eye-popping design copy states: "As It saw Eddie looking, green-black lips wrinkled back from huge fangs..." Near fine and suitable for framing. Signed cover page is presented with a separate matching and complete issue. A superb time capsule issue of TIME from October 6, 1986, Vol. 128 No. 14. Each are protected separately in fine clear sleeves. Rather interesting for a mostly newsy periodical to promote the cultural phenomenon of SK. Also, of note is the cover in illustration appears to feature an alien-like spectre on cover of the reader's novel; something King has not greatly or often directly delved into. Seven-page cover story for the release of "IT" is titled: "King of Horror. The Master of Pop Dread writes on... and on... and on... and on." Features many photos of King at home, with family, on set, and some from his feature films. Included, as shown, for your perusal and reading enjoyment, is the complete issue with an unsigned cover which contains the full feature article and the world events milieu of the day according to TIME. Intriguing when analyzing with the tumult of last several decades. Same or similar concerns seem to be kept in the mix and exist then as now. The mix of classic adverts with the written copy and pieces is often uncanny. Very good with moderate cover, corner, edge wear, mustiness; original recipient's address label to left lower corner.
