Sobre este artículo
George Jaboor in Association with Hamish Hamilton, Melbourne, 1944. First Edition. Hardcover. Good Condition/Good. 288pp., last page blank, index. Maroon coloured boards with gilt writing on the spine. Shelf wear evident to the bottom edges of the book and the head and the heel of the spine are bumped. There is paper adhering to the heel of the spine, due to moisture. Browning to the internal pages and endpapers. There is a moisture mark on both the front and back endpapers, and staining from moisture, that impinges upon the internal pages (not on the text but that the bottom of the book) to page 125. Plain text dustwrapper with black background and orange and white writing on the front panel and orange writing on the spine. The dustwrapper is now protected by library sleeving. The dustwrapper is rubbed and faded with multiple tears, which a previous owner has attempted to repair with tape, tape still in situ. There has been staining to the top and bottom of the dustwrapper, due to moisture, with bleeding of the book colour onto the panels of the dustwrapper. The author was a Pulitzer Prize winner, who in this book he undertakes to tell the full tale of how and why Japan plunged into war. "It is a dispassionate account of an amazing plot for world conquest older than Hitler's and equally as dangerous.". This is the first Australian edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: Under 1 kilo. Category: Military & Warfare; Journalism; History -- Japan; Inventory No: 0101634. .
