Sobre este artículo
Franklin Center, PA: The Franklin Library, 1979. Limited Edition . Hardcover. As New. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. William Small. Franklin Center, PA: The Franklin Library, 1979. Limited Edition, in the Franklin Library Collection of The 100 Greatest Books of All Time. Accompanied by the scarce original 22-page "Notes From the Editors" pamphlet (see scan). Illustrations from the engravings (circa 1882) of William Small. As New, pristine; never read - nor handled, except to scan and store. Ribbon bookmark is, in fact, still in its original position. See scans. Large, hefty octavo, 2 + 20 + 1 + 732 pp.; full rich kelly green leather, gilt decorated and imprinted, spine panels rib divided, All Edges Gilt, green silk moire endpapers with matching green satin page-marker ribbon. The decorative gilt is 22k, and the paper is 50-pound Franklin Library Smooth Natural. Franklin's as-always lavish binding, here for Henry Fielding's picaresque 1749 novel - deemed one of the earliest, if not the earliest, of English true novels - which made FL's list of the 100 best ever. The Franklin Library, doing what they did best. Protectively archived, hence handsomely preserved. Please review scans. With the separate original 22-page "Notes From the Editors", often discarded, included (pamphlet does show one small cover scrape). This is the original 1979 Franklin Library Edition, bearing their stated 1979 special -contents copyright as well as that date on the title page, and the correct original (text) page count of 732. A collector's example. Please review scans. L-franklin2
