New York: Macmillan, [1929]. First American Edition. From British sheets. Crown octavo (21cm). Red cloth hardcover; dustjacket; 286pp. Ink ownership signature inside front cover ("Louise H. Denton"); small area of foxing to front free endpaper, else a straight, tight, Near Fine copy. In the original dustwrapper, unclipped (priced $2.50 on front flap), slightly soiled and edgeworn with a brief tear at base of front flap-fold, just Very Good. A collection of fifteen short-stories set in the author's native Devonshire. Uncommon in jacket.
