Green cloth with red lettering embossed on spine and front board, 346 pp. An interesting story about the Torrent family: from "Grand" Torrent who came over the Wilderness Trail with Daniel Boone; Logan Torrent, who was twice governor of Kentucky; Morgan Torrent, who ran away from home at 14, enlisted in General Morgan's Rangers in 1863 and was U.S District Judge Western Missouri; Benton Torrent, attended Military Academy and the University of Missouri, made colonel in World War I, was elected to the United States Congress and Senate and finally, Boone Torrent, who starts the tale at the wheel of his roadster, pondering his future.
