Oversize oblong format HC in full slate blue cloth lettered in black to cover and spine. 1st edition. Soundly bound with clean and neat contents but in a shelf worn binding. Boards lightly shelf bumped at corner tips, lightly shelf rubbed at spine ends and with a set of mild horizontal ripples to the cloth over the spine edge. Mild shelf soiling to cover boards, with an old attempt at earsing them leaving a small blanched areas to the cloth. Illustrated throughout with Anderson's superlative drawings of signficant horses of the time. Prior ownership penciled to front endpage. Decent but a bit worn G to G+ only .
