The first edition of A Tourist in Africa by Evelyn Waugh in the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper. This was Waugh's final travel book, describing a tour of East Africa from January to April 1959. Illustrated with ten monochrome plates. Collated, complete. In the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent. There is some slight wear to the extremities of the dust wrapper. To the binding, there is some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and a very light mark to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are very bright and clean. Fine

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
