Sobre este artículo

London, UK: Hambledon and London, 2005. Soft cover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 236pp, with black and white illustrations. In illustrated, laminated card covers (very slightly rubbed at corners). Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. The tournament was a mock battle, at its height between 1100 and 1300, a spectator sport with wider significance, underpinning the idea of aristocracy; a knight and aristocrat could be defined as a man who frequented the tournament. Professor Crouch analyses the development and significance of tournaments. 8vo.
