Signed by Hall on the title page and additionally Inscribed by him on the front fly to noted English poet Geoffrey Hill: "For Geoffrey with love / at his Eagle Desk. Don. 12 July 1978. Hall was the first person to publish Hill's poems, while Hill was a student at Oxford. An excellent association.
