In this case "Robbie" is Roberta Forsyth, Jim's boyhood teacher, librarian, and friend. In addition, there is newspaper clipping glued to the front endpaper of a book review from the Chicago Sunday Tribune, dated October 26, 1952. Under the clipping are the words "my first review" in Kjelgaard's hand. A scarce, earlier Kjelgaard title, uncommon in dustjacket. This is not an x-library copy.
