Sobre este artículo
London: George Allen and Unwin, 1981. Book. As New. Cloth. First Edition. First Edition. Quarto, black cloth covered boards with silver spine titles. 128 pp. Illustrated with 230 black and white photographs never previously published.128 pp. Not the usual train or railway book, this is a collection of photographs of trains and railways in their diverse environments and functions. The author uses a consciously artistic approach to photographing trains in diverse weather and landscapes, from the rural to the seaside and the heavy industrial places where working trains travel. The book is meant as a contemplation of the less technical a more contemplative appeal that trains have for diverse people who are not necessarily dedicated enthusiasts or for dedicated enthusiasts to have the opportunity to step back from the technical and observe the general existence and functions of trains in society as a whole. This volume has absolutely fresh cloth and sparkling silver spine titles, and it is tight with bright white, unmarked and unblemished interior pages. The dust jacket is also glossy and tight and shows only a smattering of thread thin lamination wrinkles and a tiny niick at the bottom of the spine, else fine. A very fine volume in a near fine dust jacket. UNCOMMON..
