A small 1" tear at insertion of the map of North Africa has been repaired with archival tape, no paper loss. Slight off-setting onto adjacent pages of the full-page plates. Brown spot upper margin of pp. 61-73 (see photo). Page 313 has a closed tear at upper edge, no paper loss, likely a paper flaw from time of printing. This copy contains the Negro Song with two pages of music at conclusion as a postscript, frequently missing. A very good, kindly rebound copy. xxviii, 372, xcii, (v).
