Ref: Atabey 770-1, Blackmer 1079 (other ed). First published in Italian between 1769 and 1777, 'Mariti's book is one of the most important of all works on Cyprus' (Atabey). The author spent seven years as vice-consul at Larnaca and also traveled widely through the Middle East.
