An exciting, always comprehensible treatment of the known facts of North American prehistory. The conjectures about pre-modern man, his migrations and adaptations, are based on fossils, bones and imprints, but the dating has been made more accurate through a new process of measuring the radioactivity given off by Carbon 14, which is found in organic substances only. New discoveries in archaeology are exciting as discussed here in this book of interest to budding scientists and historians. Condition: Corners rubbed and bumped, spine ends rubbed, shelf wear. Jacket corners and edges chipped, 1/2" missing at spine heal else very good in about very good jacket.
