Mathew Carey. Very Good. 1809. First American Edition. Full-Leather. Library bookplate (Kimball Union Academy) and a small number on spine -- no other library indications. Leather cracked about 4" on front hinge and about 1" on back but no separation on either. Leather is in good condition with light weat to spine ends and corners. Clean copy with good, unmarked paper. Title page states 1st American edition taken from the 8th London edition. There is a "Preface to the Second Edition" which adds some uncertainty as to the status of this printing.; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 400 pages .
