Berkley was Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins, and Chief Visiting Physician to the City Insane Asylum, Baltimore. A great deal of this important early American psychiatric work studies the various forms of insanity, as well as the histology and pathology of mental illness. Dedicated to Henry Mills Hurd. 8vo. xv, 601 pp. 57 illus., 6 plates, index. In black cloth with leather corners and spine. Lether spine with gilt title is worn off and neatly laid into the book. Firm and tight and excellent quality within. Neat bookseller label fom a Medical Bookseller in Washington, DC. on front endpaper. Overall a very good copy. First American Edition. Very Good.
