Twelve short stories all blended with superb entertainment. One story THE SWEET SHOT, is an excellent golfing mystery that Taylor p. 181 says "A golfer, so universally despised at his club that he must play golf alone or not at all, is found dead on the course. He's badly burned, as though struck by lightening, but there has been no storm." An exceptional copy of a scarce book in collector’s condition by the author often given credit for inventing the modern detective novel with "Trent’s Last Case." Queen's Quorum # 93.
