New York: Vantage Press, 1977. Hardcover. Very Good/good +. [10], 95 p.; 21 cm. Blue cloth with gilt spine title. White dust jacket printed in blue with portrait of the author on the front section. Signed by the author on the front free endpaper, with added inscription noting that he died in January, 1978. The author's obituary from the Evening Bulletin is taped to the front fixed endpaper. With 2 pieces of photocopied correspondence from John B. Hannum to Margaret Hileman, daughter of Leo H. McKay, thanking her for the gift of this book (one taped to the half title page, the other loose). John B. Hannum (1915-2007) was a U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania from 1969 to 1991. Leo H. McKay was a judge on the Court of Common Pleas of Mercer County, Pa., from 1954 to 1968. In this book, he discusses 12 trials of particular interest during his time on that bench. Scarce. Book is in Very Good Condition: provenance-related items described above; underlining in preliminary pages; otherwise, clean and tight. Dust jacket is in Good+ Condition: chipping at ends of spine; closed 3-cm. tear from lower edge of front section and closed 2-cm. tear from upper edge of front section, both with interior repair; clean and bright.
