Sobre este artículo
London: Faber and Faber,, 1931. Stone, bronze, stone, steel, stone, oakleaves, horses' heels, over the paving First edition, signed limited issue, number 23 of 300 large paper copies signed by the author. This was the fifth of Eliot's contributions to the Ariel series. The poem was conceived as part of a longer work, the unfinished Coriolan, which takes its name from Shakespeare's tragedy Coriolanus. Kauffer had also illustrated Eliot's fourth contribution to the Ariel series, Marina (1929). Octavo. Original grey paper-covered boards, front cover lettered in gilt, fore and bottom edges untrimmed. With black and white illustrated title page, colour plate by E. McKnight Kauffer. Spine and extremities lightly rubbed, spine ends bumped, boards a little soiled. A very good copy indeed, firm and internally fresh. Gallup A19b. Christopher Ricks & Jim McCue, eds., The Poems of T. S. Eliot Volume I, 2015.
