Large 12mo, (vii), 151pp, Index (xv), 13pp ads. Brown gilt cloth, with gilt title running diagonally across front cover and gilt title on brown spine. Covers are rubbed, esp at corners and at top of spine. Internally, pages toned and front inner hinge starting. Owner signature on half title.

Collection from family trip in 1952 includes original letter from Cunard Line Agents' Bulletin C-16 dated 6/14/52 in very good condition. Two brochures from the Caronia, one artist signature is G.H. Iavis. One book printed in England, one is printed in U.S.A. and the letter is from New York. Minor scratches and wear for the age and the First Class tag for the Cunard White Star Limited to Southampton, First Section is intact with the oriingal string. Iconic image published after the Second World War promoting peace with doves flying along the French monuments of Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe . Colin studied art at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Nancy, France. His style was highly influenced by the cubist and surrealist movement of the time and epitomized the Art Deco era. Colin designed posters for the Folies Bergères, the Moulin Rouge and for the French cinema.went on to open a graphic arts school of his own in 1930.

Text in Japanese; a Foreword and a 23-page catalogue list of 399 items in English; 20 Development Plans listed in the catalogue are not among the plates. The foreword states the exhibition was organized to view the development of Chanoyu in three phases: Karamano Taste under Kitayama to Higashiyama reigns; Wabi Taste under the grand tea masters of Juko to Rikyu; thereafter. Nicely bound in red-orange textured wrappers. The top outside corner is bumped causing light creases to the page corners; light foxing to the top edge. Clean throughout.. Printed Wrapper (softcover). Eight page text intro in German, four page contents and ten loose plates, some in colour, contained in the original portfolio. Page size ;- 30.5 x 21 cm. c.12 x 8.1/4 inches. portfolio slightly soiled / rubbed /creased but sound. contents fine. Signed and dated by Kokoschka "Xmas 73" in pencil.

Four-color offset lithograph on paper. [28⅛ x 23¼ in. (71.4 x 59.2 cm)], one of a printing of 4,000. From a series of four works titled "Column" the others were named Column no. 2 (Picasso 90), Column no. 3 (Chile-F), and Column no. 4 (IB-affair). The title refers to the work's likeness to newspaper columns: full of facts, but a colorfully cartooned map of textual facts. The artist's signature is reproduced in the lower right. Discoloration to white edges, else very good. Still very pleasant to the eye. All posters are presently stored between acid free boards, flat, under weight. They will be shipped rolled, in tubes.
