Farrell is a book that was winner of the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize and then in 2010, awarded The Lost Man Booker Prize. 'Troubles', set in 1919 portrays the eroding of British Rule in Ireland with its setting in a once magnificant and decaying hotel. The struggle for Irish independence is about to explode. . The white areas of the cover are lightly dusty to areas otherwise very good with good edges and tips. Nice solid and complete spine. Contents: Age spotting to rear of covers and a few pages otherwise clean and unmarked. Please note: page 287 is knocked and creased at the bottom with an area of darkening but does not affect text. The book is, overall, a solid copy with lovely cover illustration by Glynn Boyd Harte.
