Back in 1975, when it first came out, I read this book as a teenager.
It was one of the few things that caused me to make over-the-road trucking a way of life for more than 25 years and over 3 million miles pulling flat beds, dry-vans, reefers and a fairly ample list of other types of trailer with everything from cab-over Freightliners to long-hood Peterbilts. In all kinds of weather throughout the 48 states and Canada, I hauled countless loads from countless shippers to countless receivers. I would have to give this book 5 stars and might give it 5 stars again once I can locate a copy to read once again.
