The Truth About Mind Cure 

An excellent copy of the first edition of Sadler's early study on the link between state of mind and health, and how 'mind cure' (an elementary form of psychotherapy) could help. Sadler was an American surgeon and self-trained psychologist who had a fascinating life and wrote on a range of topics including some esoteric works. This is the first edition, of 1925. Pages are remarkably good: clean, bright, no foxing (perhaps literally two minor spots on fore edge), notes or tanning with the exception of a little tanning marks on both FEPs and one early page. There is a neat inscription by a previous owner on front pastedown (see photo) but otherwise pages are impressively good. Boards retain their mustard colour nicely, are clean and with scarcely any age wear beyond the usual. Binding tight. The nicest copy we have seen of this fascinating book.
