Alois Ferdinand Hrdlička (1869 - 1943) was a Czech anthropologist who had suffered from tuberculosis as a child and, seeing the difficulties in its treatment, determined to study medicine. After graduating, he left for Paris to work in the newly emerging field of anthropology. Condition: About Very Good, with the host of a bookplate having been removed from the front pastedown.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good.
