Over 460 magnificent and wide ranging illustrations, of which 28 are in full color and may more in two colors, supplement the knowledgeable and lively text. The book is flawless and unread and un-looked at , except by me. The wonderful illustrations are from some of our favorite and most important authors of the 19th and 202th centuries. The book is a joy to look at. jacket is fine with very slight wear and curling at the top margins.The book is bound in cardinal red cloth over board with fine gilt letter to front and spine. Jacket is unclipped (6 gns net). The book has a 1 1/2 x 1/2" neat bookseller sticker on the bottom of the front paste down. If shipped out of the US there may be a small shipping charge increase. This book is truly a fine collectible and a joy to peruse.
