A genealogical and biographical account of twenty families of color in Massachusetts, beginning in 1742. The work provides genealogy of the families, as well as biographical information on persons in the family, when known. This includes descendants of Quawk Barbadoes, James E. Biddle, Isaiah Butler, Andrew Camps, John Ceasar and others. GOOD condition. Ex-library. Evidence of pocket removal and some library stamping on the last endpaper, with no other treatments noted in the interior. Minor discoloration, soiling and staining to the covers, some due to library use. Jacket clean and bright. Previous owner's bookplate on the first endpaper.
