SIGNED by both authors, Albert Salisbury and Jane Salisbury, "Cheers!" and being inscribed "For Mr Clifford Imsland in recognition of his fine work the Lewis & Clark Trail." Special Limited Edition of only 350 copies, this being #219. Fine-looking, structurally sound hardcover, little discernible wear, bright interior, unmarked but for previous owner's ink-stamp at front endpaper, unobtrusive. Handsomely bound in a greenish buckram cloth with green lettering stamped over a gilt swatch, and gilt lettering to spine, slightly rubbed. Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, little worn. Housed in a simple, paper-covered, Very Good condition slipcase, paper label affixed neatly but slightly sunned around edges and penned number of limitation. Illustrated endpapers front and rear. Laid in is a newspaper clipping from The Seattle Times from September 3, 1967 about Jane and Albert Salisbury and the social and printing history of Superior Books. xix [1], 3-235 pp. including notes, bibliography and index. Well over 100 fine black-and-white and duotone illustrations by Carter Lucas.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
