Sobre este artículo
Alaska Northwest Books, 1978. 1st Edition. Soft cover. Very Good. Murie, Olaus Johan. First thus. Sixth printing, 1989. Inscribed on the half-title page in black ink: "Best wishes to Marjorie Sthlenker, Mardy Murie, Aug. 24, 1991." Uncommon signed in any edition, and with three new chapters in this one about "Alaska today." A classic of environmental writing by a woman instrumental in the push for the Wilderness Act. A very good plus paperback with light edge wear and a touch of sunning to spine, a bit of creasing to lower front corner. Pages clean and tight. Great condition overall for this paperback. // Wood (+) River (=) Books specializes in ecology, natural history, nature writing, the environment, and environmental literature, with a special passion for association copies and notable inscriptions.

Sobre Rural Hours
Rural Hours (formerly Wood + River = Books, est. 2019) specializes in ecology, natural history, nature writing, the environment, environmental literature, and contemporary essay, with a special passion for association copies and notable inscriptions. We draw our name from the popular-but-then-forgotten book by Susan Fenimore Cooper (published in 1850), generally considered the first work of environmental creative nonfiction by a woman in the U.S. We are interested in challenging and expanding the canon of environmental literature and finding books that tell remarkable stories and illuminate the tradition of writing about place and natural history.
