1919. 2 original artworks by this Ash Can School Painter, block printer, illustrator, lithographer, sculptor and teacher; Hendrik (Henry) J. Glintenkamp (1887-1946) studied with Henri, member American Artists Congress, exhibited at the Armory Show in 1913, work at New York Public Library, Musuem of Modern Art, NYU, Syracuse Museum of Fine Art, Victoria & Albert London, many other institutions around the US and European collections. (Who Was Who in American Art 1999); pencil sketch of a ballet(?) dancer, signed simply "Glint 1919" artwork approx. 6" x 9", floated on paper and matted in a wood & gilt frame, handwritten on back "6027 House of Justice", paper very darkened; one unsigned and with the Bodley Gallery New York label on back giving artist name and title "Drawing of Model from Sketchbook" artwork measures 8 1/2" x 6" nude woman accomplished in sepia tones, floated on black background paper and with linen matte surround, wood and gilt frame, circa 1950s or so; neither piece unexamined out of frames; frames with some wear and rubbing; very good condition.. Very Good.
