Sobre este artículo

London: Faber and Faber, 1932. Near fine in near fine dust jacket.. First UK edition of this pair of pieces that partly form the enormous puzzle that is FINNEGANS WAKE, in lovely condition. Subtitled "Fragments from WORK IN PROGRESS," TWO TALES OF SHEM AND SHAUN would later be included in parts I and III of FINNEGAN'S WAKE as symbolic of the sons of HCE. They were first published in 1929 in Paris at the Black Sun Press in an edition of 600 copies, and were quite obscure until the present Faber and Faber edition. A beautiful copy of an important stepping stone on the way to Joyce's final book. 7.5'' x 4.75''. Original mint green boards. Original unclipped (2s. 6d.) orange dust jacket. 46 pages. Ownership stamp of B. Naumburg to front flyleaf. Jacket with mild edgewear, small closed tear near middle of spine. Binding with a touch of edgewear. Tight.
