Sobre este artículo
New York: Pantheon Books, 2005. First edition. Stated. First printing [stated]. Hardcover. Very good in very good dust jacket. Signed by author. DJ is in a plastic sleeve.. 447 p. Andrew Vachss, best known for his contemporary noir series featuring the ruthless Burke, retreats to an earlier era with this standalone novel, a tense historical thriller set in 1959. Wheelchair-bound crimelord Royal Beaumont maintains an iron grip on Locke City, a town where vice has replaced the mill as the chief industry. When various organizations--including the IRA, the mob, and the FBI--begin to close in on Beaumont's fiefdom, he calls in Walker Dett, a hit man who excels in mass slaughter, to take care of the situation. And Dett is more than equal to it...that is, until he meets lovely Tussy Chambers, a local waitress.
