Both volumes 12 mo. (7 1/4 x 5 3/4 inches each); the 1618 title: [12], 104, [8] leaves; the 1602 title: [8], 73, [8] leaves, printer's device on title page of "Second Part," Roman letter and ornamented initials at section heads of both volumes. Nineteenth century three-quarter calf, marbled boards, raised bands, author and title in gilt on leather labels on spine, minor shelf wear: insignificant scuffs on bands, at corners, and top of spines, wear showing at hinges, but holding - contents not affected. Manuscript references in pencil of front flyleaf of both volumes. STC 11416 and 11415, ESTC S102690 and S102691 Fulbecke was an English playwright, historian, lawyer and legal scholar. His other book "Pandectes" was one of the first books on international law.
