Sobre este artículo

Racine, Wisconsin: Whitman Publishing Company, 1942.FIRST EDITION THUS, FIRST PRINTING THUS. VERY GOOD with No Dust Jacket.David Pattee. HATFIELD BOOKS AND MEMORABILIA, a FIVE STAR SELLER, presents THE U. S. ARMY, A GUIDE TO ITS MEN AND EQUIPMENT, by FLETCHER PRATT, the military analyst for Time Magazine. As the United States entered WORLD WAR II, this miniature book described in detail, and illustrated to the young man salivating for battle, every piece of new U. S. war equipment. For example, "The 'JEEP' is a characteristic American invention. It is a small, light truck, weighing, all told, about a ton." This is followed by one of David Pattee's 53 sepia illustrations, this one of a jeep in action cresting a hill at full speed and leaping into the air! 3 1/2" x 5 1/2", 62 pages (including index), with no dust jacket (as designed). Overall condition is VERY GOOD. Pages = VERY GOOD PLUS: penciled old prices on front reverse cover and first fep, tiny crease on bottom corner of pages 59/60, light staining to binding fold between front reverse cover and first fep, else bright, clear, sharp corners, very tight to spine, no additional marks. Cover (pictorial yellow cloth boards, with Pattee's color illustration of tank, troops and planes attacking the enemy front, "Buy United States Savings Bonds and Stamps" on back, particulars in red and black) = VERY GOOD: medium scratching, rubbing and light grime to all, else nothing rubbed off, clear and colorful, tight, sharp and square.
