Magnificent large panoramic view by Gerrit van Schagen of the city of Utrecht (Ultrajectum) in the Netherlands seen across fields with rural landscape in the foreground. At the top in the centre a title banderole,Ultrajectum’, in the upper right and left corner two coat of arms of the city of Utrecht and the Netherlands. At the bottom of the map with detailled text poems in Dutch, Latin and German by Iacobus Heiblocq. Towards the right side with key numbers 1-23 of the most important buildings in Utrecht. A very strong sharp impression. A few carefully restorations in the paper, mostly in the margins or in blank parts of the map. Overall a very good to excellent rare map or view.
