Contains black and white illustrations throughout by T. H. Robinson. A number of illustrations have been coloured-in. Front free endpaper is missing. Pages are moderately tanned with notable foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Minor dog-eared corners, with a few small nicks and dark rub marks along text block edge. Moderate cracking to hinges and gutters, with exposed netting. Binding is fairly loose. Occasional grey thumb-marking present throughout. Boards have heavy shelf-wear with notable bumping and fraying to corners, moderate crushing to spine ends and considerate rub wear to surfaces. Book has a pronounced forward lean and slight bow. Large split to upper spine end with exposed binding. Moderately tanned overall, with pencil marks on rear board. Slight bubbling to front board, and a brown water mark on joint.
