Publisher's green cloth with upper board yoke and laurel decorative device within single-ruled white border, octavo, pp. 332 plus pp. [4] advertisements. Tissue-guarded frontispiece and 11 plates inserted in the text as called for. Previous owner small book plate on front pastedown. Foxing on rear blank endpaper and pastedown, along with a thin vertical line of offsetting from a book mark or clipping of some sort that was laid in at the rear long ago. Upper board fore-edge protrudes farther than lower board fore-edge, as in an overbite. GOOD condition, withal. Clean and unmarked internally. See BAL 18235.
