Sobre este artículo

New York: Signal Boy Publications, 1919. First edition. Hardcover. fine/very good. Presumed first edition. Hardcover navy blue cloth lettered in gilt and with an oval black and white portrait of "The Signal Boy" on front cover. 210 pp. Frontispiece phototgraphic portrait of Admiral Farragut and four additional plates. Very scarce work by an obscure publisher of historical-based fiction about the Navy during the Civil War; it portrays actual life on an American man-o-war, presented under the character and in the language of a sailor boy. A tight, bright example, 1934 gift inscription from a mother to her son on the front free endpaper and repeated on the front pastedown hidden by the jacket flap. In the original two-color illustrated dust jacket, evenly soiled, wear at the spine extremities and with a small hole bottom right corner of front flap.
