JM Dent, and Sons, LTD, London, 1919. Hardcover. Fine. Hardcover, no dust jacket. Olive green cloth cover has blind emboss in the face and gold foil stamp on the spine. Spine shows a slight amount of pushing to the top and bottom moderate wear on the bottom of the boards, and minimal bumping to the tips of the boards. The page is showing signs of discoloration due to age, but are clean, Mark, and firmly attached to the spine. There is a handwritten gift inscription on the upper portion of the second front play sheet near the spine dated 1915. This book is in fine condition. 

Sinopsis

Under the Greenwood Tree or The Mellstock Quire: A Rural Painting of the Dutch School is a novel by Thomas Hardy, published anonymously in 1872. It was Hardy's second published novel, the last to be printed without his name, and the first of his great series of Wessex novels.
