A bright, clean copy in dustjacket. Schuster & Eigen 201 -3b (1937) Light olive and white glazed pictorial boards; front cover with title in white, black outline, on olive background, surrounded by children printed in colors, border printed in gold, beige cloth spine with title (in black), pictorial endpapers, all edges white, "Copyright, all rights reserved" on verso of front endpaper, "81.245" at base of title page. With the dustjacket, externally identical to boards except that border is olive rather than gold, front flap blank except for statement that it was printed in Great Britain, rear flap with text and a list of five Greenaway titles. Colophon states it is engraved and printed by Edmund Evans, Ltd., Rose Place, Globe Road, London, E.1. A well-preserved copy, entirely clean, with only damage being a 1/8" point of fraying at each of two lower foredge tips. Dustjacket similarly well-preserved, just a touch of paper loss at tips, and a 2" closed tear on rear panel, price-clipped; early dust jackets are scarce in collector's condition.
