Covers worn, toned, corners bumped. The true first of Auster's first book, not since reprinted, with the correction in the author's hand: "/into" for "to" in "speak in you," an apt echo of Celan in a poem (Ice--means nothing) clearly indebted to the poet, presumably encountered in Neugroschel's marvelous collection, Speech-Grille (1971),
