cat40a. London: John Lane / Toronto: Bell & Cockburn, 1913. First Canadian edition, utilizing British sheets. Green cloth, spine and front cover designed and lettered in gilt. BELL & COCKBURN at the base of the spine. A very bright and attractive copy. A collection of nine stories, some of which have supernatural and fantastic content. The American edition was published by Mitchell Kennerley in the same year.
