Sobre este artículo
Santa Clara / Berkeley: Santa Clara University / Heyday Books, 2004. Paperback. xvii, 343p., scattered b&w vignette illustrations from period imagery, softbound in 9x6 inch decorated wraps; quite sound, but the front free endsheet is lightly foxed, perhaps because of the newsclip book review laid in (we have retained it), an otherwise clean copy unmarked except for the author's autograph on titlepage. The friends, just for instance, advocated prison reform from experience as well as theory: Farnham was woman's warden at Sing Sing and "lifted the no-talking rule and sponsored reading lessons". Both women wore bloomers.
