Scarce first edition of a collection of four essays by John Ruskin which were originally printed in Cornhill Magazine in 1860. Green cloth boards with blind stamped design on front and reear. Gilt titles on spine. Coloured endpapers.
Boards mildly rubbed on extremities and slightly bumped at corners; wrinkles on spine. Remains of bookplate on front pastedown. Mild foxing on a few pages but generally clean. Front hinge starting to crack and binding slightly loose.
