Boards toned, especially the spine, and lightly soiled, faint foxing on page edges; text block tight and clean; book club dustjacket (which is shorter than the elusive trade edition dustjacket) with chips and wear and interior dampstain. Good condition in just a Fair dustjacket with an archival cover. Inscriptee Virginia Kirkus was an author, editor and critic and best known as the founder of the "Kirkus Reviews," which was from 1930's through the rest of the century an influential trade publication for booksellers. . Inscribed & Dated by Author. First Edition. Hardcovers. Good/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Association Copy.
